Max The Companion Dog Is Placed!

Max was saved from a high kill shelter in North Carolina - where he and his "brother" (a fully trained service dog) were surrendered after their previous owner was admitted to a nursing home. The service dog rescue arrived and saved the service dog but Max was left behind scared and mourning the loss of his family alone. Max was the perfect candidate for a companion dog as he was fully trained as a companion.

Max has been adopted by a family in Waycross, GA. His new "dad" has a host of medical issues and is wheelchair bound. Because of Max's prior training he was the perfect candidate as Dad's new companion! Information was exchanged and Max was placed.

Max's adoption fees need to be sponsored. Adoption fees allow us to continue to pull dogs from high kill shelters, vet them and place them as companion dogs for those with medical needs. Adoption fees cover vetting, transporting, spay/neuter and any other fees incurred from the time we save the dog to the time he is placed in a forever home.

Finding these dogs in the shelter serves two purposes - we save a dog's life and we place the dog where a person needs a companion. Life doesn't get better than that - for either the dog or the recipient!

Here is Max with his new dad!!

A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. ~Proverbs 12:10

~In Memory Of Trent Williams~

It is with a heavy heart that I write, on July 29, 2012 we awoke to hear the news that little Trent had been called home. Although we are heartbroken, we know that T-man is now whole and well again in the arms of Jesus!

John 14:1-3 - Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house there are many mansions.

Trent Williams was an inspiration to all that came in contact with him or read his story. We believe that Trent would want you to know that Jesus loves you and died for you. He knew where his salvation was to be found. He would want you to know the love of Jesus. And he would not want your father to waver because of his passing. We believe that when we meet Trent - he will have a wondrous mansion!

From Ethel Dill - maternal grandmother of Trent sent us the following message:

I APPRECIATE ALL OF THE GENEROUSITY AND MANY PRAYERS THAT HAVE POURED IN FROM ALL THE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES...I AM AT AWWW WITH ALL THE LOVE THAT PEOPLE HAVE FOR MY GRANDBABY TRENT !!! HE WAS A LITTLE BOY HERE ON EARTH TO EVIDENTLY TOUCH THE LIVES OF MANY PEOPLE AND HE CERTAINLY ACCOMPLISHED THAT...TRENTS SERVICES WERE THE MOST HEART WARMING AND MOST DIGNIFIED SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER ATTENDED...TRENT WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ME IN MANY WAYS AND I WAS VERY HONORED TO HAVE HIM AS MY GRANDSON !!! I AM SATISFIED KNOWING THAT ALL THE PEOPLE THAT DID LOVE HIM, WILL HELP TO CARRY ON HIS LEGACY AS WE CONTINUE ON WITH OUR EVERY DAY LIVES... ALL MY THANKS TO EVERYONE AND I KNOW TRENT WOULD BE APPRECATIVE TO EVERYONE AS WELL....OUR BABY BOY TRENT HAS LEFT THIS EARTH BUT NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN, HE WILL I AM SURE REMAIN IN THE HEARTS OF EVERYONE THAT HE TOUCHED... THANK YOU TAMMY FOR ALL OF YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT TO KEEP EVERYONE POSTED THROUGH HIS DARKEST TIME AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE IT SO MUCH MORE BEARABLE TO GIVE US STRENGTH FROM ALL THAT CARED !!! MAY GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!!!

Please keep the family of Trent Alan Williams lifted up in prayer during this difficult time.

Saddened this morning as we watch the Sheryl Crowe story play out. She has a meningioma - because it is benign there is a HUGE downplay. When we got the benign diagnosis from Pastor Joe's surgeon we were relieved...for about 2 minutes. Pastor Joe's battle is REAL! He has a lot more symptoms than patients we know with malignant brain tumors. In our constant research we found a statement that his tumor is benign but lethal. We are saddened that the media is downplaying diagnosis's like his. Pastor Joe is here by the Grace of God! He battles every day - THE BATTLE IS REAL! May God continue to bless, strengthen and heal all of those that are on this journey - no matter what the tumor has been classified as. We hope that we can use this situation as a way to bring awareness to brain tumors...and honor to all of those who are battling...and those who have gone on before us.

May the Lord bless you and keep you today!

~Prayer For Daniel~

On Thursday, May 31 at 12 Noon EST we will be holding a prayer vigil for our friend Daniel who has been diagnosed with leukemia and has just entered home hospice. If you would like to join us in praying, in the name of Jesus the Christ, for Daniel we would be be delighted

Please commit to stop and pray for him at this time.

Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? ~Matthew 26:53

Please pray that all of Daniel's needs are met and that the Lord will continue to hold and comfort him. We would love if you would continue to keep him and his family lifted up in prayer during this difficult time.
