Cross Ministry

Our passion for distributing nail crosses came after taking part in the coordination of a youth rally for Christ. Throughout the process and during conversations with fellow Christians it became apparent to us that some Christians "dance" around the series of events that took place at the Cross. They didn't want to shock, horrify, or offend the general public by talking about or viewing something as graphic as the Crucifixion. As we sat back and digested the comments of our fellow Christians, we came to the realization that WE are offended that they are ashamed of our faith. We are offended that people actually nailed our Savior, our Redeemer, and the Chosen One to the cross - but, in saying that, we understand that it was part of God's plan for our salvation.

Following the release of the movie "Passion of the Christ" by Mel Gibson we listened to a lot of Christians say that the movie was "too graphic" or "too violent." That is exactly what the death of Jesus Christ was - graphic and violent. His blood was shed for our sins. He paid the ultimate price to ensure our salvation. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." He didn't give His Son to just walk the earth. He delivered Him here to save us from our very selves. He watched Him sacrificed for our sin. He watched Him beaten - a crown of thorns placed violently upon His head - and then drug through the streets for all to see. He watched Him nailed to the Cross. He watched as they gambled for His clothing. He watched as they pierced His side. He watched as Jesus continued to plead with Him, His Father, for their salvation - even in His final moments. He watched. And we don't want to offend anyone?

There is no way to "pretty up" what happened. The beauty is that Jesus Christ loved us enough to give His very life for us - to repay our debt. He died so we can live! That is the good news!

At Darrow's Hope, we believe that you will find your answer on a splintered cross, on a craggy hill. It is our sincere hope that you will wear one of these crosses in remembrance of the ultimate price Jesus the Christ paid. Let it be a reminder to you of how much He loved you. May it also open doors for you to minister to the lost and those that are seeking.

Know that He loved you enough. Choose to live for Him.
