Max The Companion Dog Is Placed!

Max was saved from a high kill shelter in North Carolina - where he and his "brother" (a fully trained service dog) were surrendered after their previous owner was admitted to a nursing home. The service dog rescue arrived and saved the service dog but Max was left behind scared and mourning the loss of his family alone. Max was the perfect candidate for a companion dog as he was fully trained as a companion.

Max has been adopted by a family in Waycross, GA. His new "dad" has a host of medical issues and is wheelchair bound. Because of Max's prior training he was the perfect candidate as Dad's new companion! Information was exchanged and Max was placed.

Max's adoption fees need to be sponsored. Adoption fees allow us to continue to pull dogs from high kill shelters, vet them and place them as companion dogs for those with medical needs. Adoption fees cover vetting, transporting, spay/neuter and any other fees incurred from the time we save the dog to the time he is placed in a forever home.

Finding these dogs in the shelter serves two purposes - we save a dog's life and we place the dog where a person needs a companion. Life doesn't get better than that - for either the dog or the recipient!

Here is Max with his new dad!!

A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. ~Proverbs 12:10
